Spell check function not recognizing words on the search

 We have found that when a user adds a large number of rows in the spelling dictionary, that the words pass a certain threshold( that are beyond the first 2800 rows) are not being found during the spell check search.  The word is returned as misspelled even though it exists in the table.  Has anyone had this issue in their environment?  if so, what was done to resolve it?
