OAM 11g: OID as Primary Store, Admin login does not work

OAM, WLS and EM are SSO enabled via the default IDMDomainAgent configuration with Embedded Ldap as the Default Identity Store. I wanted to move this to OID because the resources will protected using external LDAP - OID 11g
I configured OID as a new User Identity Store in OAM 11g Admin Console.
OID Connection Details in OAM:
Principal: cn=orcladmin
Username Attribute: cn
OAM Administrator's Role : OCS_PORTAL_USERS
Clicked the "Set as Primary" button. Clicked Apply.
Note: cn=orcladmin is part of the OCS_PORTAL_USERS group in OID. Not sure why it is called a Role in OAM Speak.
