11.5.10.2 India Localization Tax Engine vs 3rd party

 Our company is attempting to implement Oracle for our India sub in version 11.5.10.2. We're struggling to get an understanding of how to use the localization patches to implement a thorough tax solution.

What is the India Localization Tax Engine? There is considerable documentation regarding  tax setups, but we would like to understand whether or not the India Localization Tax Engine will meet our needs or if we need to use a 3rd party tax engine, i.e. Sabrix.

We have a varied product line - our customer base purchases all of our products, which range from software, hardware, maintenance to professional services.
