Database Connection Time-out Errors in Windows Environment
Our PeopleSoft applications have intermittently been unable to connect to the Oracle 11g Release 1 (11.1.0.7.0) PeopleSoft databases which reside in a Windows Server OS environment. The following time-out errors have been logged: TNS-12170, TNS-12536, TNS-12560. The errors have resulted in lost connections for PIA users and process scheduler batch processes.
Has anyone experienced this issue? If so, is there any patch or work around to fix this problem?
We are at PeopleTools 8.50 and 8.51.
Please note that the April 2011 CPU (Patch# 11741170 or Bundle 38) has been applied to the Oracle 11g Release 1 environment.
