OID non-oracle connect string

 I currently have an OID infrastructure that serves up Oracle connect strings to applications. I was asked the question whether OID can support serving non-Oracle connections, specifically SQL server.
I have been trying to research the question, through various channels (online + oracle documents) but can not find anything about the subject.

Does this mean that OID does/can not support serving non-Oracle connect strings?
