 Hi all,
I am no Solaris Guru and need to to change the IP address of one of my interfaces at the weekend. One issue is that Solaris Zones are running with virtual IP's on the same interface.

It is not the main server LAN it is our NAS network. My belief was that I would shutdown the zones. Change the IP address on the interface using ifconfig. (One question here is do I need to actually unplumb the device or simply take it down to be able to change it with ifconfig). I then assume I have to change the hostname.??? file and replace with new IP as not host resolution. Once the card is in place I can change the IP address of Zones using following process:-
