Cant see the LED lights on both onboard & External Quadcard slots

Hello,

              I am trying to setup a private heartbeat link for Veritas cluster, hence chose the Onboard bge0 & external quadport slot nxge1. Even after attaching cross over cables on both sides cant see the LED up.

FYI: On the Quad port all of the 3 ports are in live & can see the LED lights up, just this unused port has issues. Tried replacing the cables also.

Any suggestions please?
