Prenote fialed

Please help me the alternatives when prenote fails with a error code R03 unable to locate account.

When a payment is generated for an account (setup as checking account type) fails with prenote error. Is prenote confirmation can be generated for only Checking and Savings accounts only? or can we generate prenote for Stocks and Bonds account ?
