Upgrading to R12 Receivables - Dunning Letters

Currently we are in Oracle E-business Suite 11.5.9 and we are using Dunning letters. We have plans to upgrade to R12 latest version very soon. The AR Dunning letters is obsolete in R12. Collection Workbench is obsolete in R12. We need to install the Oracle Advanced Collections. To implement the basic functionality of Oracle Advanced Collections we do not have to buy a licence.

I have 2 Questions for the implementation of R12 Advanced Collections... I implemented Advanced Collections in my previous 2 projects.

1) If we do not buy licence for Oracle Advanced Collections (Basic functionality is free). What is included in the basic functionality of Advanced Collections?
