Directory Server - Changelog purge does not work on 6.3.1 for us

Hi, we have configured dsChangelogMaxAge: 1209600  in our implementation of Oracle Directory Server, which equates to 3 days. However, the change log db is still growing and non has been deleted/purged since our migration from 5.2 sp4 to 6.3.1 2 weeks ago. has anyone had this issue? and what is the solution if any? is this a result of a missed configuration? Does oracle have patch for this? Any help will be appreciated.
