Directory Server - Replication between 6.x and 7.x/11g servers minus a few items like acis

We are building out a new environment 7/11g.  We want it to replicate with the existing 6.3.1 environment for a period of time.  The new environment has a few differences we'd like to maintain like aci elements.  Is there a way to set up replication to preserve these differences?  I know cn=config doesn't replicate so those will be safe.  Fractional replication seems to be mostly for branches to include/exclude.  Thoughts?
