Chartfield1 Offset Problem after Journal Gen

Oracle Database Release: 11.2.0.2.0

PeopleTools Release: 8.49.28

PeopleSoft App Release: FSCM 8.90.000

We've recently ran the configuration steps to enable us to utilize Chartfield1, Chartfield 2, Chartfield 3, and Alt Acct.   Previously, these fields had been unavailable to us.   In our testing of Chartfield1, starting with Req, to PO, to Voucher, to Journal,  it was discovered that the Journal Generation process was populating the offset rows for Chartfield 1 with an unexpected value.  Rather that using the value for Chartfield 1 in the source transaction, it was populating it with a different value.  Obviously, this behavior was unexpected and unacceptable.  Looking for guidance to resolve the problem.   Thanks.
