80% of the Service Tax input

Hi All,

   We are using Oracle EBS 11i and according to Service tax input of 80% with a new clause from Service Tax dept, we can take only 80% of the Service Tax input. Accordingly, we need some modification in the system. i.e. just like TDS entries the service tax reversal entries to be booked in the system automatically. Entries for the same will be.

Normal entry for transaction booking

Expenses/Clearing a/c Dr.            10000

 Service Tax Input a/c Dr                 1030

                To Vendor a/c                                   11030

 

Service Tax reversal entry proposed.

Expense/Clearing A/c Dr.             206 (20%)

                To Service tax Input Reversal a/c 206 (20%)
