Employee-Supervisor Relationship from EBS Connector Through To A/D

I'd like the benefit of the community's experience here.

We use The EBS connector to drive our user creation, provisioning and de-provisioning processes.

I've got reconciliation working with nearly all the required attributes - but the manager -employee relationship is giving me some trouble.   What I really need is this relationship from EBS to be able to be translated into the A/D (in the manager field, using the DN of the manager.)

I'm curious what the right approach is for this using 11g?   Adapaters?  or Post-process custom code?   Are there examles available?
