Installation of Java apps (ReIM/RPM/SIM/RSL/RIB) in ClassicDomain

Dear experts

Is there any reason why the Oracle Retail java applications (ReIM/RPM/SIM/RSL/RIB) should not be installed in ClassicDomain?

According to 1307847.1, it implies that it is not tested - they may or may not work in ClassicDomain, but is there is any reason other than ease of administration why they should be in separate domain?

There seems to be a lot of circumstancial evidence in the documentation - all samples, screenshots, etc show the Java apps being installed in a domain other than ClassicDomain, but no explicit confirmation though.

Cheers
