Error retrieving the OID Administrator DN

I am trying to install the patch p5983622_10123_WINNT in Oracle Application Server and on the "Oracle Internet Directory Login" screen after informing the password of the user "cn = ORCLADMIN" I get the error "Error retrieving the OID Administrator DN. Please Ensures that your OID connection information is correct".
I did not know the password of user oracladmin and used the note 1092052.1 to reset the password but the error still persists.
How do I check if the password is correct or if OID is working properly?
