Windows Security pop-up box when downloading nVision or .csv to Excel
When downloading an nVision report or .csv file to Excel we have a Windows Security box that pops up asking for a username and password to connect to the PeopleSoft app server. Has anyone else seen this?
We can click Cancel and the nVision loads or .csv, but that is quite annoying to users that access nVision or .csv reports many times a day.
The environment that this primarily occurs in is:
FSCM 9.0 MP5
Tools 8.49.20
Windows 7
Excel 2010
IE 8
We know it is an issue with the WebDav HTTP methods being sent between Excel 2010 and PeopleSoft. Because we use SharePoint we can’t use the recommended solutions of disabling the web client or changing the settings that block these – it breaks the check in / check out functionality.
