Any way to avoid bouncing the PIA between CA jobs to clear prereqs?

Hi,

 I have a bunch of updates to apply and I was wondering if I still have to bounce the PIA and clear out the HUB and all agents after applying an update so it doesn't show up as a prereq to the next update? I'm on Peopletools 8.51. This is such a pain. There should be an "update peer" feature or something to refresh the update history without having to bounce/clear everything.
