Primary Ledger to Secondary Ledger, then allocation rules

If we choose to convert the allocation rules from Primary Ledger to Secondary Ledger, then allocation rules need to be setup in Primary Ledger only, the secondary Ledger will base on the same allocation rules in Primary Ledger to calculate the allocation.  Question: Is there a way to change this configuration in the future, i.e can we switch to maintain allocation rules in Primary Ledger and secondary  Ledger separately?
