Peoplesoft G/L Fiscal Year change

Hi ..

Management  wants to change the Fiscal year from July 1st to Sept 1st.

We are analyzing the different options.

If we add period 13 and 14,  Can we compare the fiscal years with 12 periods only.

If there are any Peoplesoft G/L customers who changed the fiscal years who can share the thier lessons,

It will be big help. Your input and pros/cons will be really appriciate.
