RMS - ORN #. item number type Manual

Dear Peers,

We are in process  rolling out the oracle retail application to other retail business, earlier we implemented Oracle Retail MOM suite, into new business format with no prior history  of business it’s was a very green filed vanilla implementation, ORN #. System generated.

 

Old retail business currently using EBS and with POS a customized solution, management deiceded to roll out Oracle Retail MOM suite,

 

My question in RMS, item number type Manual and we like to maintain ORN #. the same EBS Item code Ex.,  28-0001-0001-0001.

 

Please let me know the pros and cons on the approach.
