Mass transfer of items to doubtful AR

We have a scenario where we have multiple BU and there are more than 1500 customer  items transferred to doubtful AR at a time.

Can we have excel uploads for mass transfer of items  to doubtful AR?

Can we triger approval workflow from trnsfer worksheet. (as per my knowledge only payment worksheet, mainenance worksheet, and draft worksheet can trigger approval workflow)

Posting this requiement to community in order to find if anyone came accross similar scenario..
