Send/Display notification to online users in PeopleSoft sessions

Hi,

I wanted to know if it is possible to send or display notification to online users who are already logged into and using the PeopleSoft system.

Eg: A user who is logged in and using the system for a while gets a pop-up message or a rolling message notification on the PeopleSoft header saying the system will be soon down for emergency maintenance and asking him/her to save and log off.

Is this possible or any other alternatives to implement such notifications?
