Oranization Not defaulting in the Transactions (Localized) & Tax not calulating if the tax category

Hi

We have only one operating unit.

1 when we opend the Tansaction From (Localized) from India Localization, Organization is not defaulting. Forcing to select from LOV.

Is this intended functionlity or any setup need to do?

2. We have defined one Tax category for the service tax. (no tax class code)

On selction of Tax category in the Transaction(localized ) form  and save tax is not getting calculated.

Appreciate response.
