Both interfaces fails in IPMP

We are seeing below error meesage in the /var/adm/messages and server goes off of the network very frequently. Two servers in a active-active cluster behaves in the same way. Both servers CPU usage was very high (even wen to 100%) just 30 mins before we get below messages.

Aug  3 15:49:10 <server_name> in.mpathd[56]: [ID 594170 daemon.error] NIC failure detected on ce1 of group vlan20_ipmp
Aug  3 15:49:10 in.mpathd[56]: [ID 832587 daemon.error] Successfully failed over from NIC ce1 to NIC ce0
Aug  3 15:49:17 in.mpathd[56]: [ID 168056 daemon.error] All Interfaces in group vlan20_ipmp have failed

we are using probe based IPMP config but confirmed that the router is not loaded and not causing any issues.
