IDM 11.1.1.5 High Availability Implementation

Hi

I am implementing the IDM ( IDM and IAM) in our environment.   Looking at the EDG / HA guide, it points the OID server seperately and IAM server separately.    I am  trying to combine both OID / IAM in single server with active active  failove to another node.   Is there an issue doing that.  I have tested the single node with both components on the same server. 

1. Has anyone done  in production environment.  I mean these servers are big servers so if the performance is the issue that is taken care.

2. Is there a support issue if you combine together.  Because oracle documents did not mention explicitly to deploy OID in one and IAM on another.  It is a guidance.
