OAM 11gR2 OVD UserIdentityStore LDAP response read timed out

Hi all I have an environment where OAM11gR1 was installed and working with authentication against an OVD User Identity Store, but since installing OAM 11gR2 (Fresh Install not an Upgrade) I am receieving the following error while attempting to login to my protected pages.

 <Sep 13, 2012 6:38:38 PM UTC> <Error> <oracle.oam.user.identity.provider> <OAMSSA-20027> <Could not get user : psmith4, idstore: OVD_Store, with exception: oracle.security.idm.OperationFailureException: javax.naming.NamingException: LDAP response read timed out, timeout used:2000ms.; remaining name 'dc=cbrands,dc=com'.>

I have verified that connection to OVD is not a problem with an external LDAP browser and can successfully perform a search for my test user. OVD has an adapter for AD and OID and the UserIdentityStore is using  sAmAccountName for the username.
