Crystal Report Processes hang in Process Scheduler at Initiated

In the past two weeks we have had two Crystal Report processes start hanging in the process scheduler at Initiated has anybody encountered this? We are suspicious that the changes are due to application of Microsoft security updates to our process servers.

We have discovered a work around to fix the reports by selecting "No Printer" in the Crystal Report page setup design. This does not affect the output, as Crystal output is exporting to PS, not printing.

 The reports in question are both custom, one was 3 years old, one was 1 month old. One report process was set to Excel output and one to PDF.
