Clear-Text Passwords - Sun LDAP (old version) - OID 11g

Hello allIHAC with an new installation of Oracle Identity Management 11g 11.1.1.6.0
He is interested in knowing if they can integrate it with a Sun LDAP ..(SunOne 5, it seems) in order to centralize user management on OID.

His question is:
- Do we need to obtain Clear-Text Passwords like with MSAD ?

Some time ago they were investigating the same case but for OID 10g- MSAD and they dont like this requirement

I think it is requirement for Microsoft, due to the ad connectors and here there is not problem.. but  I am not sure
