Adding additional Item attribute to workflow notification OA Frame work R12.1.2

Hello all,

(added create item from front send)

 

We edited ReqLinesNotificationsVO.xml in notepad

1)      changed the sql script to select an extra field (Note to Receiver) and

2)       then added an extra <ViewAttribute> at the end of the file.

We saved the file and bounced the apache.  

 

We fear applying a patch may overwrite this file at some time.

 

Should probably create an XXReqLinesNotificationsVO.xml version of the file instead and point the notification to that.

Do we need to create new classes ?

What do we have to change to point the file an XXReqLinesNotificationsVO.xml instead of an ReqLinesNotificationsVO.xml ?
