CI Based Web Service Operation Methods

We are developing some CI-based web services and are wondering if it is possible to delete rows using one of the standard methods.

In other documentation references it appears that the Update method is used to add or update existing key fields and UpdateData is used to update existing non-key data, but I have not found any references that indicate that it is possible to delete rows using a CI-based web services.

Can someone offer any guidance as to how to delete rows using a CI based web service?
