Peopletools patch 8.52.12 - can't find PATCH852 project - ptCommonObj issues.

Caveat: Somewhat nooby at installing PeopleTools, but have some experience with the Application Designer, configuring LDAP and some UNIX-side administration of PT/PS. Fully versed in Oracle products as a whole.
Brand-new install of PT 8.52, on Solaris 11 X86-64, with HCRM 9.0 - using a DEMO database created from scratch using PsMpDbInstall/setup.sh - PIA has been deployed and works, but...

I'm having issues with the "ptCommonObj is undefined" errors in browser, so after searching found that applying the latest patch and copying in the PATCH852 project along with the rest of the patch procedure might help. It's worth a shot, anyway. Have redeployed weblogic domain, etc. No joy.
