Decoupled PSHOMEs - Any issues with it?

A new feature with release of PeopleTools 8.52 was the option to install the Applications and PeopleTools to separate PsHomes.  This was called “de coupled”.  The Applications PsHome is referred to as the PS_App_Home;  and the PeopleTools is installed to the PsHome.
This is supported for new installations only, using PTools 8.52+, and a minimum applications release of 9.1.  An existing PeopleSoft environment cannot be converted to “de coupled”.

Installing a PeopleSoft environment in the de-coupled manner is totally optional.

How does this affect upgrades?

PeopleTools Only upgrades are not affected.

The Application-and-Tools upgrades (to at least the minimum release levels)  were re-posted to MyOracle Support, with revised upgrade templates to accommodate PS_Home and PS_App_Home changes.  The revised templates give the ability to set the additional parameter Ps_App_Home in the Change Assistant Upgrade Environment.
