Oracle Waveset Functionality

Hi All,

I have to understand waveset functionality to answer my customer requirements. I read through different docs quickly but still fail to understand few things. 

I would really appreciate if someone can help me out with queries below -

1. I understand Waveset can create accounts on different resources using mulitple methods like Direct DB access or WebServices. 

Direct DB: For standard products(resources), the password is stored in DB in encrpted format which is unknown. How can direct DB interface be used to create user accounts in resources?

Web Services: If the resource does not expose web service interface, then are there any alternate options?
