How to create a custom RIB app and RIB JMS Flat File IO

Oracle published two white paper in April 2012 about how to create a custom RIB custom application.  They also published a 2nd white paper about a tool (RIB JMS Topic Flat File Reader and Writer Tool), which allows customers to publish and consum messages directly from flat files. 

Has anyone had any experience using this too?  We are trying to do a proof of concept for a customer, but are encountering issues that we cannot resolve.  This information is not supported by Oracle Support so just wondering if anyone else has experience with it.
