Performance gain for AWE PTAF Tables

Hi Guys,
I am working as a peoplesoft DBA and currently serving a reputed client  based in India. They are on PeopleSoft HRMS 9.0 MP4 / PeopleTools 8.49.11 / Oracle 10.2.0.3. The OS is solaris 5.10. The client has come up with am expectation to improve the performance of AWE module that according to him, works very slow and performance of the entire module is heavily impacted.

Please suggest how to go about it.
