Peoplesoft HCM 9.1 SMTP Servier Setup

 I have installed PS HCM 9.1 / PTOOLS 8.52 Demo system on Windows7 Ultimate (64bit) Machine..
I want to configure SMTP for testing few workflows.. 

SMTP Configuration has to be done in APPSRV and PRCS SCHEDULER Config files, and I am trying to configure my GMAIL account in there.

Qns:
1. Is it possible to configure SMTP for GMAIL account on Windows 7 Ultimate ... ?
            1.1. If not, Do I need a separate Server for that ?
            1.2 If Yes, Can you provide me the configuration settings and steps for the same.
