Custom message attribute doesn't display when user changes language preference

 Hi,

We customized an  HR notification to display certain text that is stored in a custom message attribute of the same notification.

This works fine when user language preference is English.

However, when user changes his preferences to a different language like "French (F)" then the attribute doesn't display.

Any one with some good pointers to resolve the issue?

All seeded message attributes translate fine on preference changes, but thiscustom attribute doesnt translate.
