Slow response while accessing PIA on internet

We are facing issues while accessing Peoplesoft using external PIA links. App and Web servers are hosted in DMZ for external PIA.
When we access same instance using internal instance , response is pretty fast.

e.g Manager dashboard loads in 5 seconds when using internal links, but takes 40 seconds to load when using external links.
