IPMP in Solaris with Logical Domains Best method

 Reading from an Oracle blog post https://support.oracle.com/oip/faces/secure/km/DocumentDisplay.jspx?id=1382335.1 about transitioning from Sol10 IPMP to Solaris 11 this brings up a few questions. 
What is the best and most preferred method of IPMP on Solaris 11? Using test addresses seems like a lot of admin overhead however transitive seems confusing to trouble shoot..

Environment:

Oracle t4-1 with logical domains.
