Reading a DOD CAC card

Hi,

   We've got a oracle forms application running on Oracle Application server (all 10g 32bit) and need to use DOD CAC cards (smart cards) to log the users in. That's a new requirement for all DOD apps.  I was amazed that I can't find a white paper or something on the subject.  I know several Oracle webapps that are CAC enabled.  But can't find any reference material or white papers on how do this.  My reading suggests that we will have to use OID which I am in the process of installing and learning.  Thought I'd check this forum to see if anybody could help me.  I'll also post this on the oracle
