BI Publisher(XMLPUB) - How to add or update Invoice record fields in Data Source XML file(BI_INVOIC

Hi,

    I would like to use the XMLPUB invoice format for printing options. i would like to ADD/UPDATE fields in the XML File available in - Main Menu>Reporting Tools>BI Publisher>Data Source for the invoice template "BI_INVOICE_DATA". How to modify this file so that it would work in sync with the database record fields also. Do we have any Application engine or peoplecode that makes use of this to add/update the XML file,so that it will be in sync with the RTF file available in report definition.
