While creating Work Item, does wait times skip weekends or holidays?

I am trying to create a work item, where in work item details step I have given 3 days to wait the strategy for going to nect work item after completing this work item, but I am not sure whether these 3 days will consider weekends or holidays also or not. If anyone has any idea about this issue, please reply.
