How to verify the uniqueness of Object ID for new attributetypes with ODSM

I need to add half a dozen new attributetypes to my OID 11.1.1.5. In my LDIF file, I have chosen what I hope to be unique Object IDs for each of the new attributetypes. I would be really neat if I could first verify that the object IDs do not already exist in my OID. How can I do that with ODSM? What about with ldapsearch?
