Pre and Post upgrade steps for Collections Workbench (11i to R12)

Hello Experts,

We are upgrading from 11i to R12 and want to know how collections will be impacted and we do not have additional license for Advance collections. So what are pre and post upgrade setups required to atleast use collectors workbench.
