AR Collection 11i vs R12 Dunning Plan / Strategies

Hello,

We are running in 11.5.10.2 and have planned to upgrade to R12.1.3 in the next few months. We are ON DEMAND customer at Oracle.

We are wondering a lot about Collection. In 11i we use Staged Dunning letter which is a robust a simple method to perform collection at transaction level.

It seems Dunning Plan is the better approach in R12, however we are also interested in Strategies logic, but some questions remain open. You may be able to enlighten us about them ?

Our understanding with Stategies :

The customer, account or bill-to is scored according to the age of the oldest invoice. The strategy Management program is also run and the appropriate strategy is assigned according to the score attained...
