Synchronizing Solaris Primary and Secondary DNS Servers

Hi,

 I have a difficult situation here, need your advice;

Requirement is to Synchronize Solaris Primary and Secondary DNS Servers.

There are few zones existing ONLY in primary and some zones are existing ONLY in secondary (Strange!)

 Queries;

1.)    Can we use Solaris 9 as a Primary DNS server and Solaris 8 as Secondary Server ? (OS release details are mentioned below)

2.)    Can the secondary server provide name resolution for the zones which are not at all existing in Master (Existing ONLY in Secondary server as Slave zones) ?

3.)    Primary DNS server’s bind version is showing as 0.0.0 (Is there any issue ?)

4.)    Which is the DNS log file to monitor.
