location_closed table in RMS

Hi,

Would like to understand the usage of column in location_closed table in RMS.

What sales_ind = 'Y',ship_ind = 'Y', recv_ind = 'Y' set up in location_closed table refers to? Does it mean sales,shipment and receiving not possible on the specified close_date?

If sales,shipment,receiving transactrions are not possible if indicators are set to 'Y', then this mechanism stops the transactions initiated in RMS or it also stops when the data is coming from other system into RMS?

Please advise.
