Data Conversion is taking forever.

 Dear Friends, My company is Upgrading HCM from PT849/HCM90 to PT852/HCM91FP2. The data conversion in the Initial pass took almost 10 days and in MTP1 it took almost 7 days. What is the best way to reduce the dataconversion process time. I am a PeopleSoft Administrator and not an Oracle DBA.I asked the DBA to drop the non-unique index of the table which has highest amount of data present. Dear folks, please help me with this situation. The database size is 400GB. Thank you in advance.
