People tools 8.53 upgrade

Hi all,

I am a database administrator and relativly new peoplesoft admin.

PS enviornment:- 8.51.11 and campus 9.0 and Oracle 11g Linux

I am upgrading peopletools from 8.51.11 to 8.53.02. We have some Peopletools customization in 8.51.11 and we will retain these customizations in 8.53.02 as well.

I have seen upgrade template and there I found  no step to take customization from old release to new release and confused when i will move these customization to 8.53.

Please suggest me how I can move customization from old to new release? and what else I should keep in mind while upgrading peopletools.
